Brenna M. Casey completed her Ph.D. in English and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies at Duke University. Her current research tracks the transit of American literature and photography throughout the nineteenth- and early twentieth-centuries with a particular focus on the consolidation of race through the work of understudied women writers.
Brenna also holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame. Her poems, essays and reviews have been published widely. She is currently a regular contributor to Ploughshares blog.
